it’s been what is literally eternity or seeming like it. please do forgive! everything has been spinning, spiraling, and diving in every direction graphically possible – from the matters of the heart, shooting, mental moments, to apt moving. it’s that waiting, that endless waiting and designed anticipation, where with every breath and every step – you are tested. not sure how april unfolded for you all, but let’s just say indeed, the Lord Jesus carried me through a storm. one in fact, i am not entirely sure i have fully emerged from. but alas, may may bring promising delights, and may those things that are not and are to be fully blossom and come forth to what they may be.

there has never been an individual who so eagerly encompasses and expresses his adoration for fashion, such like our dearly blessed lyricist, Kanye West. while there have been some unexplained outbursts, no one can deny his embracing and innate, modernized attention to detail and unequivocal record of style. golden shot of Kanye’s parisian performance in a dazzling crystal encrusted light, dawning the iconic favorite by Maison Martin Margiela. shine bright with Western light indeed, Kanye.

a bit of a delay indeed. but better late than never, right? well i’m back. and what better way to start than to showcase, show-dance, showdown the new babies that arrived this eve. was in need of some kicks…and there is a great list, but i decided to start with these. a first for me, but i adore already…the Vans Authentic Hi from Zappos. haven’t sported them out just yet, but it was an instant love connection.

the moment i saw this photo – a rush went through me…an intensity, a cascade of thoughts and moments. and so i simply say to you – look at it, and fill the rest in for yourself. because in the end, that is the beauty of it all, our each own individual interpretations of life.

everything is shutdown and we are all just shut in and locked up with cabin fever tickling our veins. for some of us – like myself, it is long needed rest time. for others = madness. and what should be for all of us – is to take this sweet prison time as an opportunity to turn things out – with the Scissor Sisters and their incredibly contagious “Let’s Have a Kiki.” i must say a special thank you to my friend, Kamerin for turning me onto this one. i think it just absolutely fitting, don’t you?

always when you’re trying to stay focused as you walk down the sidewalk, could be the streets of soho, 5th ave or union square…you walk, prance, stroll, or whatever you do as you trot…the key is to not get completely distracted by all the beauty that stands luring you through the windows. and so there i was – on a different mission of course, when one glance of the head turned left had me frozen in an instant, as i gazed up in the large glass window of ZARA and saw this incredibly inviting and demanding necklace…with ruby-like stones and crystals, thin dangling chains and rustic bronze links. against best judgement, i stormed in and soon found, there it was, the last one, as though waiting for my hands to pick it up. and without a thought…i did. i had a moment of “should i buy? or not? is it worth it?” and then i said, “yes, yes and yes.” it’s one of those pieces i will keep for years…a statement necklace.

and they say, “those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” always remember the wings.

you know those moments when you first view something, and you get that gasp of air and rushing excitement that tingles your being – well, for me fashion, moments, editorials, magazines (i could go on, and on…) do that thing for me. and soon as i saw this latest issue of RIKA Magazine, with golden-blue-eyed bombshell Jessica Stam, i simply had to share. creatively disruptive photographer Chadwick Tyler and uniquely contrasting stylist Sarah Cobb work together to create this gothically eerie elevated and classic grunge with a royal twist story. it’s just a little bit quirky and unusual, especially with the antique wheelchair. but then again – don’t we just love, the strange and unusual – the weird and different? because after all, that’s what makes things ever so special and limited edition. please enjoy.

i decided to go a little more classic – the classically chanel inspired french manicure. and so it is, from my trusted spot – Nail Essence in Williamsburg. make sure to ask for Stella. she’s a doll. you can never go wrong with the color gel manicure…considering it lasts nearly three weeks. and just in time for fashion week. sweetness.

i imagine a riddle made through the artistic creative eye and photography, as i go through this favored editorial from VAGA Magazine’s latest, Mack the Knife, from stylist and friend Ohne Grund. absolute love. this is what i call – detailed brillance catered to the finest of most.
