a graduate of Central St. Martins – (that should already get your attention) and knitwear sculptor using the most eccentric fabrics – like foil. these pieces remind you of someone? perhaps Gareth Pugh? that’s because before graduating, Craig Lawrence actually created six seasons of knitwear for Gareth Pugh. the resemblance is pronounced, and what a talent to the rise.

the clothes i suppose, wouldn’t be the same without direct motion visuals to translate the technical and resplendent texture and details of his work. this is the film which promoted his fall/winter 2010 collection, featuring model Anastasia Kuznetsova at Next. an extreme base beat feel running parallel to the movements and just perceptibly fascinating. his inspiration: ‘The abdication of crowns, Lady Lawrence and the monarchy.’

(let’s thank AnOther for the film).

Lawrence is experiencing amazing escalating success and we just need to open our eyes a bit wider – he is everywhere!

visit Dazed Digital to see more of his Spring Summer 2011 collection and Trendland for more.
