way back when…when…during the time of university of miami years. first i have to say how much i loved attending that school. really, it felt like a resort – constant relaxation (minus grind exam time), sunny days, skateboarding, sun bathing, poolside…i’d sit inbetween classes at the courtyard watching people pass by. we’d play a game, the ‘storytelling’ game, giving stories to the ones that walked by, where they were from, loves, losts, troubles, and happiness…so when i came across Dennis Finacchiaro and his ‘A Flash of Inspiration, brought me back to those days. time, moments, different turns and lessons learned. i dedicatedly appreciate the use of typography in these works. the endless possibilities we can create with words. vintage captions, etched in by a typewriter, on aged photographs. we make our own stories. something so simple, but makes such a dynamic impact. one day it will be our photos etched.

when one leaves, we welcome another.

find more of his work on Etsy.
